The Cup of Tea
You know, life...
Life has its own instrumentals, its own strange choreography.
It doesn’t always waltz in step with our plans, and sometimes it drags us across the floor when all we want is to sit down and rest.
But then,
one fine day,
something happens..
something quiet..
something almost imperceptible…
You wake up, and it’s as if the weight you’ve carried all these years has dissolved in the silence of the morning.
The grudges you nursed like old wounds..they’re gone.
The baggage you dragged through every moment..they’re not yours anymore.
You’re free.
And suddenly,
the world feels like it’s made of color again.
The air is sweeter, the sunlight feels warmer, and your heart..God, your heart..it feels so light, as if it’s finally learned how to float.
You start noticing things you hadn’t seen in years.
The way the leaves sway like they’re sharing secrets with the wind.
The way the rain kisses the earth like an old lover.
And you smile, not because everything’s perfect, but because you understand now..it doesn’t need to be.
It’s strange how it happens, this peace.
It doesn’t come with a very Bollywoody announcement or a neon sign..it slips in quietly..
It aligns the jagged pieces of your life into something whole, something beautiful, like a puzzle you thought would never be complete.
You realize there was never a rush, never a deadline for joy.
Everything has its time. Everything falls into its place.
And one day,
there you are..sitting across from the love of your life.
Holding cups in your hands..
While the air slowly sways your hair and you look into each others eyes.
The two of you, sipping tea.
You look in the eyes..and you don’t need to say it.
You don’t need to tell them how they are your peace, your home, your everything.
You can’t thank them..not really, not in a way that feels enough.
You can’t confess the depth of what you feel because words would ruin it, cheapen it.
So, instead,
you pour the rest of your tea into their cup.
That’s life.
it’s in these small, unspoken things that carry the weight of everything you are.
It’s in the silence, in the things you do without being asked, in the moments that feel so ordinary yet so perfect they take your breath away.
And it hits you..
this is it…
This is the peace you prayed for, the happiness you thought you’d never find.
It was never impossible.
It was always just waiting for its time.
That’s life.
It surprises you.
It breaks you,
bends you,
and remakes you.
And when it’s done,
it sits you down with a cup of tea and shows you that it was worth it all along.
